Day 0 – LA – Work Day

Flew in last night, and JonathAn was nice enough to take me to get my bike from storage.  What a pain in the ass (the location of my bike, not JonathAn).  At least on the way back, I got some experience with lane splitting.  That should come in handy tomorrow…  (That’s foreshadowing for you English majors at home.)

Relief. She starts.

Today was not exciting.  Got bike.  Actually, that was exciting when it started first push after sitting for almost three months.   What a trooper.  No complaints at all.  Took her to the dealer to get some much-needed love.  They rock at Hollywood BMW.  Then met up with Zach, who’s going to store my bike when I get back.  Thanks Zach!  And then jumped in a cab to go hobknob with the rich and famous.

But, before I get to that:  One thing from today – answer me this question if you can.  Who the hell are these cab drivers talking to!?!?  Are they doing real estate deals?  Planning a coup?  Working the ladies?  Dictating a memoir?  1-900 numbers?  Gross.  How can anyone other than teenage girls have so much to say?  One of life’s mysteries…

Stage 19. CBS. I'm officially big time.

Jonathan with all his connections got me VIP seats for the taping of Hot in Cleveland.  Today’s guest cameos were Kevin Nealon and Joan Rivers!  Pretty awesome experience since this VIP got to sit in the front row and then got to go down onto the floor after the taping.  Pretty fun to rub elbows with Valerie Bertanelli (no clue how to spell that) and Jane Leeves, the English chick from Frazier (I’m sure she loves hearing that).

The evening was topped off with hanging out with JB at his Hollywood pad.  He had me so hysterical with laughter that I couldn’t even tell my story without blubbering through tears and face-wrenching, overwhelming smiles.  The stories were varied, but my favorite comes with a photo.

Future director, always one-of-a-kind, Jonathan P. Bus.

When he was in kindergarten, he thought it would be a good move to wear vampire teeth to picture day.  Who does that?!  I am so glad he did. Enjoy this picture, it’s going to be in a movie someday.  I mean, look at that kid.  He is CLEARLY up to something.  You can almost see him working on his next stunt.  By the time he was done telling this story among others, I was so torn up with a laughing fit, I couldn’t even talk anymore.  My stomach still hurts.  Thanks JB.
